Close Contact Definition
For COVID-19, close contact is anyone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes), even if wearing a mask.
Anyone, including fully vaccinated people, who have had close contact with a Covid infected person should be alert for any signs of infection and be tested between days 5-7 after the last exposure.
